My first week of work was an experience I will not forget. The scale of research, faciliites is phenomenal. The size of this Queens Square Brain Bank is unbelievable and I have been fortunate to meet so many prominent Profs in the field of neurology. I feel very blessed that God has sent me here. Here I sit amongst what is identified as the "The Golden Nest of Neurology", 7 floors of every neuro-related person's dream. When I first arrived, I almost regretted coming here because of the gloominess of the city and the homesickness. However, one week of work has changed all that. My Prof, Professor Tamas Revesz, is an amazing person, with so much intelligence comes pure warmth and love. I thank God that the people I have met here are truly a great blessing.....
Today was our second weekend in London. We decided to venture out to Chinatown. But I think Chinatown is the same everywhere you go! Being in Chinatown triggered memories of being back in Hurstville. But generally I think the people are more hyegenic:P
We also went searching for warmer clothes. It is summer but only a max of 16 degrees. I am finding the cold unbearable, so oppa and I went to do some shopping. Thanks to Jung Min we found a cheap store from which oppa will purchase 2 Londsdale items. This was in Leicester Square and close by was the hub of musicals and theatres. Identified as "west end" there is so much on, and tickets are sold at half-price for some musicals. We hope to go see something when Boris and Dokky oppas arrive, should be great:) Can't wait!!!
